Well, if you haven't heard about it already, China launched a SCADA attack on Hawaii during Obama's visit. The Obama compound itself was terrorized for 11 hours without power. I haven't been able to get through to Richard Clarke, but this is obviously the "electronic Pearl Harbor" he has warned about since the late 1990's.

The DHS command center has asked me to fly to Hawaii to analyze China's SCADA attack. I have to admit I nearly choked when they asked it. I said something like, "Do you or do you not realize that China can hack the FAA's SCADA systems? I'm worried they can make any commercial aircraft crash into the ocean, and you want me to fly right into the thick of it?"

But you know those DHS folks, they just can't see the forest for the trees. I've been told to bring my passport with me, just in case we need to fly to Asia to physically trace some of the interim IP addresses of the SCADA attack. As if that will do a lot of good...
