Chinese military hackers behind L.A. power blackouts

CIA senior analyst Tom Donahue called me tonight with very disturbing news.  He couldn't reveal the classified technical details, but he did confirm that Chinese military hackers are behind the current Los Angeles power blackouts.  "We've been lucky in that we can blame the outages on nearby wildfires," Tom explained, "and we've been even more lucky that Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is willing to go along with our ruse, but the simple fact is that L.A. is at the total mercy of Chinese military hackers.  They're exploiting SCADA vulnerabilities to turn the power on and off to various parts of the city."

I asked Tom if the CIA was planning an incursion into China to "neutralize" the officer who commands China's military hacking unit.  "No comment," he said.  Tom is one of the best poker players I've ever lost money to, and he said "no comment" in a voice that neither confirmed nor denied CIA will delete that Chinese officer...
