Cyber attack targeted at European cruise ship
International newswires lit up when a German-owned Bahamas-registered cruise liner ran aground off the coast of Latvia, terrorizing nearly a thousand people on board. The media didn't divulge a reason for the ship's grounding, but a source deep within Air Force Cyberspace Command tells me the ship came under cyber-attack when Al Qaeda operatives hacked into the ship's steering control systems. "We traced the attackers to a cyber cafe in the heart of Latvia," my source tells me, "but in all honesty they could have launched the attack from anywhere." The Air Force will keep a close eye on the situation, my source tells me, because there are some Americans on board that cruise liner.
